Events are moving quickly on the Climate Change front! The rapidly growing economies, and emissions, of countries like China and India are prompting increasing calls for their inclusion in emissions limits.

Climate Change: Addressing Opportunities and Challenges: In addition to global issues, it highlights specific Saskatchewan-based challenges and the many accomplishments that Saskatchewan business, governments and people have achieved over the past few years.

The BioDiversity Perspectives publications provide a good variety of ideas and information about biodiversity, globally, and with a specific focus on the three prairie provinces - Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba.

The Water Series publications are a primer about water issues on the prairies. They are designed so that common water issues and concepts applicable throughout the prairie provinces are identified and discussed in the first portion of the publication. The remaining part of this three-series publication addresses province specific issues.

Climate Change publications: Few topics generate more discussion than climate change. Keewatin produced a magazine on this topic to serve the informational needs of a wide variety of users. The material attempts to provide the reader with some of the larger issues that are of a global nature but also provides local provincial awareness. Although three editions (Canada, Alberta and Saskatchewan) were in production, only the Saskatchewan edition (which is still used by Climate Change Saskatchewan) is available for review on this web site.

Readers comments:
"We have examined other publications done by Keewatin and consider them to be very high quality. We have also made cost comparisons of alternative methods of obtaining such a publication and have determined that the per unit costs provided are very reasonable for the quality of publication that has been produced.
Director, Provincial Environment Department.

Health Care publications: A few years ago Keewatin was asked by some hospital associations to produce a pamphlet style publication that could be sent out with the Annual reports of these organizations. Two publications were produced, Health Care is it working for you? And a second publication, a year later, Caring for Medicare. Altogether there were three editions of the publication, only the Saskatchewan edition is available for review on this web site.

"Your pamphlet ‘Health Care – Is it working for you?’ created a strong first impression. The blend of attractive graphics, interesting stories and a clear, easy-to-read writing style has produced a first class publication. The messages contained in the document are very important for the public to understand. I would like to encourage you to do further work in this area."
CEO, South Country Health District.

Mining Series publications: Canadian mineral resources and mining expertise are recognized around the world. Unfortunately they are often not as well known or understood at home in Canada. Keewatin has produced several publications on mining.

"I would like to commend you and your sponsors for the publication of the interesting and informative brochure. Factual publications such as this one are invaluable in getting the message out to the general public about the benefits of modern mining to British Columbia."
Executive-Director, British Columbia and Yukon Chamber of Mines

"I am a Professional Geologist and have been invited to give a number of Geology workshops to primary & secondary teachers in northern BC this Fall. A number of years ago I picked up a publication of yours. I would very much appreciate if you could send me approx 60 copies of this publication for distribution to the teachers. Yours truly",

Extensive Energy Series: Ethanol, alternate fuels, coal, hydro, nuclear energy – a lengthy series of publications about a large and dynamic industry. In addition to Canadian editions in English and French, Keewatin has also produced materials in the Indonesian, Thai, Viet Nam and Chinese languages.

Heritage Languages: Canada is a country of many languages. Just how many is really quite amazing. We produced a calendar for a multi-cultural organization as well as a publication on the great value such a multi-linguistic community has to offer. We would never do another calendar, since they involve so many different time frames, Chinese, Julian and many other cultures with different measures of time. It was fun, and interesting, but a lot of work.
